BLACKPINK ROSE Follows JISOO in Apologizing to Fans Regarding 10th Anniversary

Group BLACKPINK member ROSÉ has personally expressed her apologies to fans regarding the controversy surrounding their 10th-debut-anniversary event.

Through a fan platform, ROSÉ recently opened up by saying, "BLINK, I had a lot of thoughts over the past few days, which is why I couldn't write to you sooner." She continued, "I had anticipated this 10th anniversary; I waited for just as much as BLINK did. It wasn't that I didn't understand the fans' feelings; rather, I resonated with them so much that it took me a little while to sort out what to say first."

She added, "In the meantime, it feels heavy-hearted to think that I might have made you feel even lonelier. Wanting to convey my sincere feelings to BLINK, even if it's a bit late, I am leaving this message now."

Previously, BLACKPINK members JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA held a 10th-anniversary Meet & Greet event with 40 fans at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 8th. Despite the significance of the event, the announcement was made just two days prior, causing confusion among fans, and complaints arose even before the event due to initial reports that only some members would attend. Confusion was further fueled when false rumors spread that ROSÉ would be absent, leading her to announce her attendance through her agency.

Expressing her regret, ROSÉ stated, "This 10-year journey of growing together, cherishing each other, and walking together holds profound meaning for me as well, and my biggest wish was to celebrate it together." She added, "That is why I wanted August 8th to be a day of smiles and happiness for all of us, but things didn't go as I hoped, and my heart is full of regret and apologies." She concluded by saying, "I sincerely thank the many BLINKs who came to see us despite this hot weather, and I want to tell you that it was so nice to meet you after such a long time, and I am truly sorry."

Previously, JISOO also left a long message on the fan platform at midnight on the 8th. JISOO stated, "I just wanted to say that I love all four of us so, so, so much, and I wanted to express how dearly precious you all are to me." In particular, JISOO was captured crying inside a vehicle after finishing the 10th-anniversary event, which drew widespread attention. Regarding this, she cautioned against overinterpretation, saying, "I hope you won't read too many meanings into my tears. I just want to sum them up as a mix of various emotions and being touched by spending 10 years together."

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016, and celebrated their 10th anniversary on the 8th.
