The film "The Odyssey" (directed by Christopher Nolan) has maintained the number one spot at the box office for 23 consecutive days.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on the 28th, "The Odyssey" drew 150,092 viewers nationwide on the 27th. Its cumulative audience number reached 7,806,294.
Having surpassed 1 million viewers on the 4th day of its release, 2 million on the 6th, 3 million on the 10th, 4 million on the 12th, 5 million on the 13th, 6 million on the 17th, and 7 million on the 19th, "The Odyssey" continues to showcase its unstoppable box office momentum by attracting over 150,000 daily viewers even on weekdays in its fourth week of release. It is expected to reach the 8 million milestone sometime this weekend.
Taking the number two spot at the box office was "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," which drew 34,753 viewers on the same day. Although it was released a week earlier than "The Odyssey," it yielded the top spot in its second week. However, it achieved the highest box office performance among the series, leading a dual box office hit. Its cumulative audience number stands at 8,297,961, and it is projected to surpass 8.5 million viewers over this weekend.
