Girl group Lovelyz member Yoo Ji-ae (33) has directly shared her thoughts on her marriage to actor Kwak Si-yang (39, real name Kwak Myung-jin).
Through her social media on the 3rd, Yoo Ji-ae announced the marriage news, stating, "I have found someone with whom I want to cherish and rely on each other, and spend our future time together, and we have promised a new beginning with good intentions."
Yoo Ji-ae continued, "Above all, I am sorry that those of you who have watched over and supported me for a long time had to learn about this news through media reports. Since this is a precious story for me, I wanted to share it a bit more carefully, and my heart is heavy that I wasn't able to do so." She reflected, "It feels like I have shared many moments with you for a very long time. Through joyful moments and hard, exhausting moments, you have always steadfastly stayed by my side and supported me, and thanks to that heart, I think I have been able to keep walking in my place until now."
She added, "You must have been very surprised by this news, but I would be truly glad if you would warmly celebrate my new beginning with a good heart. I will continue to show myself working hard in my place without change. Please watch over me kindly."
Following Yoo Ji-ae, Kwak Si-yang also shared his thoughts directly. On Instagram on the 3rd, Kwak Si-yang posted a handwritten letter, writing, "At the threshold of a precious season, I am writing this letter because there is a story I want to deliver directly to you," and added, "I have found a precious connection with whom I want to spend the rest of my life."
Kwak Si-yang continued, "Based on our trust and love for each other, we have promised to walk our future lives together. We intend to become each other's reliable support during difficult times, smile together in joyful moments, and build a warm family."
He added, "From the moment I took my first step as an actor until now, I have been able to continue acting because of the support and help you have sent me," and "I will always remember that grateful heart and keep it deep within."
Finally, Kwak Si-yang greeted everyone by saying, "I will work hard to show a more matured appearance by building a family, and as an actor with good works and acting," and "I sincerely thank everyone who has sent warm congratulations and encouragement despite the sudden news, and I hope you are always healthy and always happy."
The two are scheduled to hold their wedding ceremony on November 28. Born in 1987, Kwak Si-yang, and born in 1993, Yoo Ji-ae have a six-year age difference, drawing even more attention as they revealed the surprise marriage news without any previous dating rumors. Yoo Ji-ae becomes the first married member among the girl group Lovelyz.
