Group THE BOYZ, whose activities were halted following the termination of their exclusive contract with their former agency, has announced a new start with a new music label.
78 RECORDS announced on the 14th that it has completed its corporate establishment and will exclusively manage the group activities of THE BOYZ members SANGYEON, JACOB, YOUNGHOON, HYUNJAE, JUYEON, KEVIN, Q, SUNWOO, and ERIC. 78 RECORDS stated, "We will provide full support and maintain close cooperation for THE BOYZ's group activities so that the members' intentions and direction can shine even brighter."
78 RECORDS is a label established by industry experts who have accumulated experience across artist discovery and growth, music, and content at major entertainment companies including Kakao Entertainment.
The label is led by co-representatives who have spent over 10 years together with THE BOYZ through their growth process and prime, guiding them from the casting stage to major activities after debut. Based on their deep understanding of the artists and experience creating critical turning points for the team such as winning Mnet's "Road to Kingdom" and placing as runners-up on "Kingdom: Legendary War," they plan to operate the label moving forward.
An official from 78 RECORDS stated, "Having been with THE BOYZ for a long time, we well understand the values the members hold dear and the direction they wish to pursue. Above all, we know the hearts of THE B, who trusted and waited for THE BOYZ, staying firmly by their side." They added, "We will communicate closely with the members so that we can show you through good music and stages that the waiting and support until now were by no means in vain, and we will provide solid support so that THE BOYZ and THE B can create more moments together in the future."
Starting with stably supporting THE BOYZ's group activities, 78 RECORDS plans to sequentially continue its full-fledged steps, including launching an official label and discovering new artists, as it prepares for a new journey that THE BOYZ and THE B will share together.
