On September 14 and 15, Ryu Su-jeong unveiled the music videos for "Birthday Cake" and "Friendly Fire," two tracks from her fourth mini album "ALL THE COLORS I AM," via her official social media and YouTube channels.
The music video for "Birthday Cake" portrays the journey of breaking free from the shackles that once bound her, looking back on the past, and transforming into a new version of herself. Bound in ropes, Ryu Su-jeong unties herself and uses light as her guide to retrace her steps up a flight of theater stairs. Gazing through binoculars at a reflection of her past self, she confronts her history, while a hatching egg symbolizes the moment she emerges as a renewed individual.
The music video for the final track, "Friendly Fire," commands attention with negative film effects and black-and-white cinematography. Set against a dreamy dream-pop soundscape, Ryu Su-jeong wipes away her makeup to face her authentic, unadorned self. She delivers a delicate performance capturing the subtle emotional shifts experienced through this recurring process.
Released on September 11, the fourth mini album "ALL THE COLORS I AM" captures the diverse facets of Ryu Su-jeong that cannot be defined by a single color. The title track, "Diamond," reflects the realization that what truly makes her shine has resided within her all along. Starting with the title track, Ryu Su-jeong has rolled out music videos for every song on the album in succession, drawing enthusiastic responses from music fans.
