A recent public call for information by the SBS investigative program "Unanswered Questions" regarding Perry, a well-known rapper and producer who worked with early YG Entertainment artists such as 1TYM, Jinusean, and singer SE7EN, has drawn significant attention.
On the 17th, the official social media accounts of "Unanswered Questions" posted a past photo of Perry along with a request for tips from anyone who knows his current status. The production team stated, "We are looking for information from anyone who knows the current whereabouts of rapper and producer Perry, or who is in contact with his family, as he has been known to be missing since he was last seen in Los Angeles in 2010 following active music activities in Korea since the mid-1990s."
Perry, a native of Oakland, California, is an American rapper and producer who has been active in the Korean hip-hop scene since the mid-1990s. He also participated in the early music production of BIGBANG, with the 2010 Japanese release "Beautiful Hangover" known to be his last YG-related work.
Perry has been virtually cut off from public activities since he was last seen in Los Angeles that same year. Previously in 2021, Perry's nephew revealed via social media that his uncle was last seen in Los Angeles in 2010 and has been missing since, adding that a missing persons report had been filed with the U.S. Department of State, which sparked rumors of his disappearance online. However, these claims had previously only circulated as unverified stories within online communities.
With the official call for tips from "Unanswered Questions," the rumors of his disappearance that were once confined to mere whispers have now been brought to the forefront, sparking heated reactions online.
