Actor Han Ye-ri has teamed up with the newly established agency Studio Viewtyque.
Studio Viewtyque announced the exclusive contract on the 18th, stating, "We are delighted to embark on this journey with actor Han Ye-ri, who possesses unmatched acting skills and diverse charms."
With this, Han has become the first artist to join Studio Viewtyque. The agency stated, "We will spare no effort in providing full support so that Han Ye-ri can fully unleash her potential across various fields based on the solid experience she has built over the years," adding, "Looking in the same direction as a reliable partner, we will accompany her to further expand her cinematic world."
Having initially majored in dance before stepping into acting through a short film, Han made her name known to the public with the film "As One" and has since brought uniquely textured characters to life in numerous projects, including "Sea Fog", "Worst Woman", "A Quiet Dream", "The Table", and "One Spring Night".
In particular, her portrayal of Monica in director Lee Isaac Chung's film "Minari" delivered a delicate yet strong performance with great depth, leaving a profound impression on audiences both in South Korea and globally. Through this work, she proved her presence as an actor by winning the Best Actress award at the 2021 Gold List.
On the small screen, she has also showcased diverse acting spanning various genres and eras, from "Six Flying Dragons", "Hello, My Twenties!", and "Nokdu Flower" to "My Unfamiliar Family" and "Doubt".
Han's scope of activities has not been limited to the screen and television. Having majored in Korean dance at the Korea National University of Arts, she has expanded her career as an artist by participating in various performing arts based on her background in dance.
Recently, she also took her first steps as a director. She unveiled her directorial debut, "Finding a Lost Heart" (literal title), at the 13th Marie Claire Film Festival. Han co-directed the project with director Yoo Si-hyung while also taking part in screenwriting, planning, and starring in the film, demonstrating new potential as a creator beyond acting.
