SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Flex X Cop 2," starring Jung Eun-chae, came to a grand finale on the 19th by breaking its own highest viewership ratings in the final episode. In "Flex X Cop 2," Jung Eun-chae played Joo Hye-ra, the head of the violent crimes unit 1 at Gangha Police Station, showcasing the textbook image of a veteran detective with a steady gaze and restrained tone. She naturally elevated the immersion of the show through her witty chemistry with Jin Yi-soo (played by Ahn Bohyun) as well as seamless, thrilling action sequences.
In particular, during the latter half of the series, she drove the main mystery with high quality by engaging in a life-risking chase and a chilling psychological warfare to uncover the truth behind the serial killer Yoo Sung-won (played by Yoo Seung-ho). Her restrained emotional acting in front of the victims' bereaved families and her intense charisma that did not back down even in front of a gun barrel left a deep lingering impression on viewers.
Jung Eun-chae, who brilliantly adorned 2026 with her deep acting spectrum that transcends genres and characters, will continue her activities in the film industry. She is scheduled to attend the 31st Busan International Film Festival and participate in a GV (Guest Visit) session alongside actor Charlotte Gainsbourg following a special screening of the film "Melancholia" on October 8.
