Singer Lee Ki-chan, who earned massive popularity with his 2002 hit song "Cold," is staging unique busking performances across major pharmacies as this year's influenza outbreak spreads.
On September 19, Lee released "Cold" (2026), his first remake of the track in 24 years, and launched the "Pharmacy Busking Project" to commemorate the release of the new track. On his social media, he wrote, "Pharmacy Busking Project! Thank you to all the pharmacies that helped out. Also, is this really right?" adding, "Flu vaccination season has started! Please listen to 'Cold.'"
Under the banner of the "Pharmacy Busking Project," Lee has indeed been visiting and performing at numerous large-scale pharmacies, including Mega Factory Pharmacy branches in Seongnam, Gwanggyo, and Seoul; Boryung Pharmacy, Onyu Pharmacy, and Jongo Pharmacy in Jongno; Very New Pharmacy in Seongsu; Pharma Square in Guro; Pantheo Pharmacy and Red Hill in Gangnam; Very New Hongdae; and Medi-Kingdom Pharmacy in Yongsan.
Reminding the public that flu vaccination season is underway, Lee also urged, "Flu vaccinations have begun. Please listen to 'Cold.'"
