FNC Entertainment announced a firm stance of taking strong legal action, stating that cases of threatening staff in charge of its group Hi-Fi Un!corn and spreading videos slandering the artists and staff have been confirmed.
On September 28, FNC Entertainment stated in an official announcement, "Recently, cases have been confirmed where threatening messages were sent to employees in charge regarding Hi-Fi Un!corn to intimidate them, and videos containing verbal abuse and defamation directed at the artists and staff were circulated simply because their demands were not accepted."
Taking this matter as a turning point, FNC explained, "We wish to clearly outline our company-wide response standards in order to protect the rights and interests of all our agency's artists and employees and to prevent similar harm."
The company stated that it views personal threats, defamation of character, and the dissemination of malicious falsehoods directed at others as violations of the Information and Communications Network Act as well as obstruction of business. FNC also stated that if such actions are confirmed, offenders will be expelled from the official fan club and permanently barred from attending all agency-organized schedules, including concerts and fan meetings. Furthermore, the agency emphasized that it is continuously monitoring threats, insults, and the spread of malicious falsehoods through legal representatives, warning, "We will take stern civil and criminal legal action without any leniency."
Meanwhile, FNC added that it will continue to review and incorporate reasonable suggestions from fans submitted through official suggestion channels.
Hi-Fi Un!corn is an idol band under FNC Entertainment and FNC Japan that was formed through the SBS M boy band audition program "THE IDOL BAND: BOY'S BATTLE" and debuted on June 26, 2023.
