Returning to the small screen after two years, box-office queen Kim Ji-won plays Gye Soo-jung, a genius surgeon solely obsessed with surgery, who steps up as a medical dark hero confronting the corruption at Guseo University Hospital.
In the stills revealed on October 1, Gye Soo-jung temporarily sets aside the sharp charisma of a flawless master surgeon to exude an unexpected side, focusing all her attention on food. Holding a banana-flavored milk in each hand and drinking them simultaneously, or holding onto her chopsticks with her cheeks puffed out, her completely unguarded, adorable break from reality naturally brings a smile to viewers' faces.
In an interview, Kim Ji-won expressed her special affection for the character, sharing, "What makes Gye Soo-jung so attractive is the contrast between her outward appearance and the new layers that reveal themselves the closer you look. I really wanted to convey that well." Director Lee Jung-rim also praised her, saying, "Kim Ji-won naturally brought out Soo-jung's quirky and human side. Every time I watched her convincingly navigate that huge contrast within a single character, I thought to myself, 'If not Kim Ji-won, who else could have pulled this off?'"
