Singer Kim Da-hyun will take the stage as the host for the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) eve celebration and walk the opening ceremony red carpet.

Kim Da-hyun is set to host the eve event of the 31st Busan International Film Festival on October 5 at 7:00 PM on the special outdoor stage at BIFF Square in Nampo-dong, Busan. She is also scheduled to take the celebratory stage that evening to deliver a performance. In addition, she has received an official invitation from the Busan International Film Festival to attend the opening ceremony and red carpet event on October 6, where she will walk the red carpet as an actor rather than a singer.

Kim Da-hyun has been active as both a singer and an actor, having appeared in films including "Florence Knockin' On You," "Punggi," "Broken Record," and "The Village Schoolmaster and the Bad Boys" (literal title). In "Florence Knockin' On You," she played Ji-yoon, the daughter of the main character Choi Seok-in, earning acclaim for her nuanced emotional performance.

"I am very grateful to stand as the host for the eve festival of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, a great celebration for filmmakers. I will do my best to give the audience unforgettable memories," Kim Da-hyun shared. She added, "Furthermore, it is a tremendous honor to walk the red carpet alongside world-renowned actors as an actor rather than a singer, and I believe it will be of great help in pursuing my path as an actor."

Meanwhile, Kim Da-hyun previously drew attention after senior singer Sim Soo-bong publicly criticized her during a trot festival performance, but the controversy came to a close after Sim personally apologized to Kim Da-hyun.
