Bands HYUKOH, Silica Gel, and FTISLAND will take the stage on the final day of the year.
Concert organizer Mint Paper has unveiled the first lineup for "COUNTDOWN FANTASY 2026-2027" (hereinafter referred to as CDF). Mint Paper is the team behind acclaimed festivals such as "Beautiful Mint Life" and "Grand Mint Festival."
CDF is a year-end festival spotlighting band music, and this year's edition will be held for one day on December 31 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Designed to ring in the new year while enjoying live music on the year's final night, the festival has expanded its footprint by adding a third stage.
A total of 12 acts have been confirmed in the initial lineup. The roster features HYUKOH, who released "Godspeed!" as their first new track in roughly six years, followed by "KoK"; Silica Gel, who held a solo concert at KSPO DOME in September; and FTISLAND, who debuted in 2007.
THE SOLUTIONS, who recently recorded sold-out solo shows, and ONEWE, who wrapped up their "dot-line-plane" series in August with their third full-length album "面 : Unknown Atlas," will also be joining the festivities. The billing also highlights KARDI, known for fusing the traditional Korean geomungo with modern band instrumentation; Far East Asian Tigers; IDIOTAPE, making their third consecutive appearance at CDF; and LOW HIGH LOW, who also performed at last year's event. Rounding out the stage are AxMxP; OYSTERS, who advanced to the final round of this year's "Band Discovery"; and POSER, who dropped their new single "HAPPY DANCE" this year.
Following their headline performance during last year's New Year countdown, Silica Gel will return to CDF for their second consecutive year.
An official from Mint Paper shared, "Alongside the performances, exclusive on-site content and programs unique to CDF are currently in the works. Because the festival runs for just one day this year, we plan to bring the artists and programs together so audiences can experience every moment of CDF without having to make difficult scheduling choices."
"COUNTDOWN FANTASY 2026-2027" will be held on December 31 at Halls 7 and 8 of KINTEX in Ilsan. Tickets go on sale starting October 13 through NOL, YES24, Naver Booking, and 2TM.
