YG Entertainment's executive producer Yang Hyun-suk (56) has shared upcoming release schedules for the agency's artists as well as debut preparations for the next generation of rookie groups.
At 2:34 a.m. on October 14, Yang Hyun-suk posted a message on the fan communication channel "FROM YG," stating, "While I have previously shared news about our artists through YG ANNOUNCEMENT videos, it has been a while since I greeted you in writing due to a busy production schedule."
According to the announcement, BABYMONSTER will release a new digital single titled "DESERVE" on October 23. This marks their first new song in about four months since "SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA." Regarding "DESERVE," Yang Hyun-suk introduced it by saying, "Although it is a slow track, it carries an energy more intense than any song we have released so far," adding, "It is a song that captures peak emotion through a blend of BABYMONSTER's unique, delicate vocals and explosive vocal power."
TREASURE will release a new digital single titled "SHOCK" on November 2. Yang Hyun-suk explained, "It is a song featuring an intense hip-hop sound." TREASURE previously showcased songs of various hip-hop genres through their mini-album "NEW WAV" in June. Describing that album as the "beginning of Chapter 2," Yang Hyun-suk requested, "Please look forward to and show a lot of support for their full-fledged Chapter 2 activities that will continue into 2027 along with this new song."
Yang Hyun-suk also delivered news regarding rookie groups. He revealed, "Currently, YG is preparing the debuts of a 5-member boy group and a 4-member girl group as our next-generation rookies," adding, "Together with TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, these two groups are very important artists who will lead the future of YG."
He continued to explain, "Both groups plan to proceed with recording several demo tracks they have prepared so far through the end of the year, and we anticipate that specific debut schedules will also be set as soon as the title tracks are decided."
