Actor Byeon Wooseok expressed his excitement for his upcoming project "Solo Leveling".
Gracing the cover of the November issue of fashion magazine Elle, Byeon Wooseok showcased a versatile charm in the pictorial that ranged between softness and strength.
An interview was conducted alongside the photoshoot. Byeon Wooseok, who has recently been on an Asia fan meeting tour, shared, "When I face the fans, there are moments when unexpected surges of emotion hit me. The expressions with which they look at me and the voices cheering me on make me choke up with emotion. Even when I make up my mind not to cry this time, when that moment comes, it doesn't go the way I want (laughs)."
He also shared the joy of experiencing simple everyday moments in the cities he visited for the fan meetings. He said, "I eat delicious food or walk through the streets, soaking in the local atmosphere. Above all, walking through the spaces where fans live their daily lives feels special. That is because it touches my heart all over again to realize that people living in different cultures and environments still love and support me."

Byeon Wooseok, who spends most of his days filming and living as Sung Jin-woo in the Netflix series "Solo Leveling," answered, "Sung Jin-woo is a character who has a completely different side from the roles I've played so far. I am spending a lot of time trying to understand and portray him. In particular, since he is a character where how he uses his body is very important, I find myself staying conscious of my movements and posture even outside the filming set."
Sung Jin-woo is a character who grows from an E-rank hunter once known as the 'Weakest Weapon of All Mankind' into a completely different being. When asked what drew him to Jin-woo, Byeon Wooseok said, "I liked that he wasn't strong from the beginning, but someone weaker and more fearful than anyone else, yet he keeps moving forward for the sake of what he must protect even in such situations. While respecting the appeal of the original work, I want to show Jin-woo's emotional arc that can only be felt in a live-action adaptation."
Asked what kind of life he would choose if he could 'level up' into a different being, Byeon Wooseok answered, "The happiness I feel in my life right now is precious enough. While I will have to continue to grow and develop going forward, rather than becoming another being, I want to live as who I am now. Even if I were born again, I'd like to properly level up as Byeon Wooseok (laughs)."
