Singer and painter Solbi, who is tying the knot in April next year, made her first radio appearance since announcing her marriage and opened up about her romance with her groom-to-be, Lee Kyu-han.
Appearing on the "Street Love Fighter" segment of KBS Cool FM's "Gabee's Super Radio" on October 19, Solbi laughed and said, "Since this is my first broadcast appearance after announcing the marriage, I think people were looking forward to it even more. I'm so grateful that so many people congratulated us. Having a wedding that receives this kind of blessing makes me so thankful and deeply touched. Don't look at me anymore. I'm officially taken. I plan to show my charms only for one person, and I've become someone who needs to watch what she says."
Solbi continued, "I thought it was right to get married after experiencing everything I could in my 30s, and right now felt like the perfect timing for marriage. One of my goals was to get married directly without dating rumors, and I'm glad I could achieve that all at once." When addressing how she managed to head straight into marriage with Lee Kyu-han without dating rumors, she added, "It's the know-how from having zero dating rumors for 20 years."
Solbi shared, "Since I'm at a certain age, I used to think conditions and background were more important, but meeting someone I truly love and getting married feels like the greatest blessing." Explaining why she opened her heart to Lee Kyu-han, she revealed, "After filming ended, he kept sending me apples as gifts. He sent all varieties by season, starting with Aori apples. I wondered why he kept sending them, but it turned out to be an apology for not choosing me during the final selection. Then his name popped up because he registered for a class I teach. Seeing how he made efforts to understand me and approached me at my own pace made me feel his sincerity."
Solbi also introduced Lee Kyu-han as "a delicate, thoughtful, and warm person." Explaining her decision to marry him, she continued, "He takes great care of himself and works out every day. He's a man I have a lot to learn from, and he's neat. I have strong confidence knowing there is a reliable person by my side who genuinely respects me."
Reflecting on the meaning of marriage, Solbi said, "We weren't born at the same time and we met by chance, so finding someone whose heart aligns with yours after living different lives is an incredible probability. Two people promising to spend the rest of their lives together is truly that amazing."
On October 15, Solbi and Lee Kyu-han announced through their agencies, "Both families met together and shared their intentions to marry, and the wedding ceremony will be held in April next year." The wedding will be held privately with both families, relatives, and close acquaintances.
The two appeared together last year as cast members on Season 3 of KBS Joy's "Seeking Old Connections," but did not choose each other in the final selection.
