Group LIGHTSUM will hold their first showcase since their debut in Japan.
LIGHTSUM will meet fans by holding "Re:idol SHOWCASE" (tentative title) at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo, Japan, on December 28. The event will be held twice on that day, and Japanese fan club presales began on October 16. The agency stated that LIGHTSUM plans to present various performances and interactive segments at the showcase, communicating closely with local fans.
In August, LIGHTSUM released the first episode of the original documentary "Re:Idol" on the Japanese streaming platform ABEMA. The program captured the members learning Japanese-style idol makeup and greetings, while dedicating themselves to recording and choreography practice.
Following that, LIGHTSUM released their Japanese mini-album "Re:idol" in September. The title track "どうして(Doshite)" expresses the feelings of an unrequited crush through cute lyrics and choreography, showcasing a Japanese 'kawaii' (cute) concept. Upon release, the album reached No. 4 on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking and No. 20 on the Weekly Album Ranking.
LIGHTSUM will appear on Mnet's "M Countdown" on October 22. According to their agency, this marks their first appearance as a full group in two years.
