Singer Kang Daniel, who is currently serving in the military, is releasing a new single, "Blue," which was worked on prior to his enlistment.
On October 21, an official from Kang Daniel's agency ARA stated, "The new single 'Blue,' which was prepared in advance with the goal of being released after his enlistment, will be released at 6 PM on October 21," adding, "It will be another welcome gift for fans who have been waiting for Kang Daniel's music."
According to the agency, this song is an unreleased track that Kang Daniel worked on in advance last year before his enlistment, and it is being unveiled after about a year.
"Blue" is an R&B track capturing the subtle attraction between two people who vaguely sense each other's feelings yet cannot easily come to a conclusion. Kang Daniel directly took part in writing the lyrics and composing the song, while BIBLEIN and JUNBEOM handled the composition and arrangement. Along with the release of the single, an illustration-based lyric video will also be unveiled.
Having enlisted on February 9, Kang Daniel is currently serving as a corporal at the Army Training Center and is scheduled to be discharged on August 8 next year.
