The film "White Blast," which is drawing keen anticipation for bringing together actors Kim Yun-seok and Koo Kyo-hwan, is set to hit theaters on November 18.
"White Blast" is a mystery drama that unfolds when a mysterious dead body is discovered before Kap-soo (Kim Yun-seok), a stationmaster nearing retirement, and Hyun-taek (Koo Kyo-hwan), his newly arrived successor, at a rural train station cut off by a heavy snowstorm. Director Hong Eui-jeong, who drew acclaim with the film "Voice of Silence," co-directed the project alongside Director Park Sun-woo, marking the first on-screen pairing of Kim Yun-seok and Koo Kyo-hwan.
The main trailer, released on October 21, begins with Kap-soo (Kim Yun-seok) receiving a phone call saying that his successor may arrive late, as he prepares for his final shift at Seol-o Station. Soon after, Kap-soo discovers Hyun-taek (Koo Kyo-hwan), who has already arrived at the station office, and murmurs, "I didn't hear a car arrive?", instantly stirring a subtle tension. While going through the handover, the two rush back to Seol-o Station after discovering an unidentified body inside a tunnel. When Hyun-taek insists, "We should report it to the police," Kap-soo unexpectedly aims a gun at him instead.
Meanwhile, Inspector Choi (Park Soo-young) and Officer Yang (Roh Yoonseo), who are dispatched after receiving a call, find themselves stranded in the heavy snow, plunging into an even more precarious situation. Amid the escalating standoff, Kap-soo cryptically remarks, "Seol-o Station is busy today, isn't it?", while Hyun-taek urgently pleads, "Please just listen to me, sir," heightening curiosity over what will happen next in a dynamic where neither can let their guard down for a single moment.
Drawing attention for the intense character ensemble of Kim Yun-seok and Koo Kyo-hwan, the film "White Blast" will arrive in theaters on November 18.
