SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama "Nine to Six" (written by Choi Ji-woo, directed by Lee Hyung-min and Oh Song-hee) is an on-and-off work-life balance romance about a 100% logical woman and a 100% warm-hearted man who meet and find new answers to work and love.
At the script reading, which was unveiled alongside the confirmation of its premiere date on Wednesday, November 25, key cast members including Park Minyoung (as Kang Lee-ji), Yook Sung-jae (as Han Sun-woo), Go Soo (as Park Hyun-tae), and Joo Hyun-young (as Shin Ji-won) gathered together and showed off perfect chemistry.
"Office romance queen" Park Minyoung took on the role of Kang Lee-ji, a 100% logical workaholic, bringing the character vividly to life with her articulate tone and resolute acting. By delicately portraying the multi-dimensional aspects of a person who is flawless at work but clumsy in love, she heralded the birth of another defining character.
Yook Sung-jae completely transformed into Han Sun-woo, a 100% warm and affectionate younger man, radiating his signature bright and warm charm. Enhancing the character's appeal through delicate emotional nuances and natural delivery of dialogue, Yook Sung-jae captivated attention by radiating an extraordinary flutter-inducing chemistry in his teamwork with Park Minyoung.
The presence of Go Soo, returning to the romance genre after 15 years, also shone brightly. Go Soo seamlessly blended into the role of Park Hyun-tae, a top-tier elite division head who evaluates employees solely on merit, exuding an effortless charisma. Joo Hyun-young also breathed vitality into the drama with her characteristically realistic acting as Shin Ji-won, Kang Lee-ji's best friend and dating counselor.
In addition, a stellar supporting cast including Kim Mi-kyung, Jung Hae-kyun, Jo Bok-rae, Cha Chung-hwa, and Bae Yoo-ram joined in, demonstrating great acting synergy from the very first script reading by showcasing everything from realistic mother-daughter banter to hateful office villains.
SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama "Nine to Six," where the cast's delightful chemistry will unfold, premieres on Wednesday, November 25 at 9:00 PM.
