Airing at 10:50 PM on October 28, SBS's "The Listen" will follow Lee Young-hyun, Tei, Lee Seung-gi, EXO's SUHO, YUJU, Kim Hee-jae, and Lee Ye-ji as they embark on a special musical journey to the city of Yangsan, a place steeped in beautiful scenery and history.
During the broadcast, the cast members showcase an unexpected 180-degree shift into variety entertainment as they take on an "egg decorating" ("al-kku") mission alongside an egg cookie eating broadcast featuring Yangsan's local specialty. Lee Young-hyun, who revealed her competitive spirit while repeatedly proving her clumsy hands, and Lee Seung-gi, who energized the set with his seasoned play, are set to bring plenty of laughs.
A touching moment of connection unfolded during the busking session that followed. After watching a busking performance by an aspiring teenage musician on Yangsan Youth Street, Tei made a surprise appearance to complete an emotional duet. In addition, the main busking stage at Yangsan Hwangsan Park featured live renditions of Lee Seung-gi's "Don't Know Men," YUJU's "La La La," and Kim Hee-jae's "On a Summer Night," leading up to Lee Young-hyun's signature hit "Resignation," filling the venue with crowd sing-alongs.
Special collaboration stages that could not be seen anywhere else are also drawing great anticipation. Rare pairings on a single stage—including Lee Young-hyun and Lee Seung-gi's "Cheonsangyeon," Tei and YUJU's "Limit," SUHO and Lee Ye-ji's "TOMBOY," and YUJU and Lee Ye-ji's "Still With You"—will deliver unique musical emotions. It is said that after watching Lee Young-hyun and Lee Seung-gi perform "Cheonsangyeon," Lee Ye-ji could not hide her admiration, remarking, "It feels like voices matched in heaven." A group performance of "Keunirida" featuring four men—Tei, Lee Seung-gi, SUHO, and Kim Hee-jae—is also set to captivate ears.
On top of that, the broadcast will reveal the full story behind the "Busking of Destiny" hidden mission, where EXO's SUHO puts aside his composure as an artist in his 15th year since debut and urgently rushes into the audience in the middle of a song. "The Listen" airs tonight (Wednesday, October 28) at 10:50 PM.
