On episode 3 of the SBS variety show "The Great Hang-jun," airing on October 29 at 10:20 p.m., actor Cho Jung-seok appears as a guest. "The Great Hang-jun" is a witty talk show built around the concept of Jang Hang-jun holding auditions to cast top actors in his autobiographical film.
On this broadcast, director Jang Hang-jun unveils the massive project concept for his next work, "The King's Warden 2," for the very first time.
After revealing, "'The King's Warden 2' is a story based on true events from the Joseon era," Jang Hang-jun declares, "I plan to include a car chase scene with palanquin bearers," turning the set into a sea of laughter.
He then catches everyone's attention by teasing an unstoppable genre expansion, sharing that he was inspired by actor Cho Jung-seok's zombie acting: "Zombies also appear. Since the zombie scenes feature 'Joseon-era zombies,' writer Kim Eun-hee is writing them."
In particular, the battle of wits with Cho Jung-seok, who was tapped for the lead role on this day, is another comedic highlight. When Jang Hang-jun unleashes his trademark bluff, claiming, "I received 200 million dollars in investment," Song Eun-i calls him out, asking, "Do you even know how much 200 million dollars is?" Cho Jung-seok then matches Jang Hang-jun's inflated scale by demanding an unprecedented appearance fee: "You should pay me an appearance fee of around 80 billion won," flustering the director's crew.
The full story behind "Moham-jun" (a blend of framing and Jang Hang-jun) and his massive fraud(?) project, which expands in scale with every word spoken, will be revealed on "The Great Hang-jun," airing Thursday, October 29 at 10:20 p.m.
