The film "Journey There" has won the Feature Audience Award at the 21st Paris Korean Film Festival.

"Journey There" tells the story of Chun-hee, who, after losing her husband, prepares for a journey of her own. When she moves into a new apartment, unexpected encounters bring a new melody into her once-quiet everyday life.

Highly anticipated even before its premiere as director Kim Jin-yu's first new release in six years following "Bori," "Journey There" took home the Feature Audience Award at the 21st Paris Korean Film Festival, which wrapped up on November 3. The award is presented to the film that receives the most votes from viewers among the titles selected for the Paysage section. "Journey There" captured the audience's choice amid strong contenders such as "People and Meat," "My Name," and "Coming of Age."

David Tredler, chief programmer of the Paris Korean Film Festival, praised the film for delivering the power of warmth that modern society needs, stating, "As a programmer, there are films that pierce right through your heart. Films where the moment you watch them, you become certain, thinking, 'This is the one.' (...) 'Journey There' was precisely that kind of film at the Paris Korean Film Festival, and the audience embraced it just as warmly as we did. It is an elegant and deeply resonant work that speaks to the importance of savoring the present moment."

"Journey There" was released in domestic theaters on October 28 and is currently meeting audiences.
