Lee Jun-hyuk Reveals Reasons Behind His Cameo in 'Mercy for None': "I Was Told the Only Thing I Had to Do Was to Die as So Ji-sub's Brother"
Lee Joon-hyukActor Lee Jun-hyuk revealed that he agreed to make a special appearance in 'Mercy for None' simply because he was offered the role of So Ji-sub's brother.

During a press conference for the Netflix series 'Mercy for None' held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 5th, Lee Jun-hyuk shared, "Before even reading the original webtoon, I was told I'd play So Ji-sub's brother, die, and that's it. I was all in for it, thinking it'd be great to be So Ji-sub's brother."

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, 'Mercy for None' is a noir action drama that follows Nam Ki-jun (So Ji-sub), who returns after 11 years to avenge the death of his brother Ki-seok (Lee Jun-hyuk), the former second-in-command of their organization, who had cut his own Achilles tendon and left the world of 'Mercy for None'.

With Ki-seok's death opening the story of 'Mercy for None', Lee Jun-hyuk's role is a brief but special appearance. He willingly accepted the role of So Ji-sub's brother but admitted feeling the pressure after actually reading the webtoon. Lee Jun-hyuk said, "The webtoon was incredibly fun and famous, so after reading it, I felt a significant amount of pressure."

Lee Jun-hyuk also shared his experience working with So Ji-sub, saying, "There's a certain vibe on set. I've met So Ji-sub many times, and I've always tried to match his energy. It varies depending on who you're acting with, but with him, there was always a warm and calm presence. I made an effort to embrace that."

From So Ji-sub, making a noir action comeback after 13 years and being the top choice for the role of 'Nam Ki-jun', to Heo Jun-ho, Gong Myung, Choo Young-woo, Ahn Gil-kang, Jo Han-chul, Lee Beom-soo, and special appearances by Cha Seung-won and Lee Jun-hyuk, 'Mercy for None' promises an immersive ensemble cast. With its heavy hardboiled action, expanded narrative from the original, and a variety of spectacles, it's set to deliver intense entertainment.

Comprising a total of 7 episodes, 'Mercy for None' will be released on Netflix on the 6th.
