Lim Young-woong Ticket Frenzy Is Real: 160,000 in Line at On-Sale

Ticket sales for Lim Young-woong’s Seoul concerts turned into a full-on frenzy. Fans of all ages rushed the site as soon as sales opened, driving demand so high that the ticketing platform briefly stalled.

On Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. KST, sales for the singer’s 2025 "IM HERO" tour stop in Seoul went live via NOL Ticket―and the site immediately buckled under the traffic. The queue swelled to a staggering 160,000 people, with waits stretching past two hours.

“I even ran practice drills before the drop,” one fan told SBS Entertainment News. “But the second 8 p.m. hit, the competition went through the roof. After two hours I finally dropped below No. 100 in the queue, and there still weren’t any seats left.”

The Seoul run is slated for six shows at KSPO Dome (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) from Nov. 21 to 23 and Nov. 28 to 30. Even with the arena’s massive capacity, nabbing a seat proved near-impossible―another reminder of Lim’s formidable ticket power.

Earlier dates in Incheon and Daegu sparked similar chaos, overwhelming servers the moment sales opened and selling out every seat. Daegu, in particular, experienced access issues even before the on-sale, underscoring just how intense the rush has become.

Reactions from fans ranged from “I asked my kids to try booking for me” to “I just don’t have the ticketing experience.” Unlike idol shows that skew younger, Lim’s multigenerational fandom may make the scramble even tougher.

Meanwhile, Lim kicks off the "IM HERO" tour in October in Incheon before heading to Daegu, Seoul, Gwangju, Daejeon and Busan. His second full-length album, IM HERO 2, continues to perform strongly, with the title track “Eternal Moment” and the rest of the set holding spots near the top of the streaming charts.
