Lim Young-woong Shovels His Street After Snowstorm: "I'll Clear My Front Walk Myself"

After an overnight dump of snow, singer Lim Young-woong shared a look at his DIY snow-removal skills, clearing the steep road outside his home himself.

Posting to social media on the night of Dec. 4 with the caption “Snow Removal Mission,” Lim bundled up in a puffer and sweats, grabbed a wide snow pusher, and went to work on the slope piled high in front of his place. The flakes kept falling as fast as he could sweep, dusting his hair and shoulders white mid-shovel.

He kept the mood light, joking, “Drive safe on icy roads,” “You clear it, and it piles right back up,” and “Snow removal is a mission!” He even nodded to a Korean TV meme, parodying KBS reporter Park Dae-gi’s viral on-air snowman bit with, “This is reporter Park Dae-gi, live on the scene.”

In Seoul, residents are required to clear the sidewalks around their properties―within four hours after the snow stops during the day, or by the following morning if it snows overnight―with fines possible for failing to comply.

Lim will be back on the road with his IM HERO tour: Dec. 19-21 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju; Jan. 2-4 in Daejeon; Jan. 16-18 at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome; and Feb. 6-8 in Busan.
