Singer LIM YOUNGWOONG has donated 200 million won to help residents affected by recent heavy rains in the Geoje and Tongyeong regions of South Gyeongsang Province.
The Community Chest of Korea announced on the 24th that LIM YOUNGWOONG, along with his agency Mulgogi Music, made the donation under the name of his fan club, "Hero Generation."
The donation will be used for emergency relief, temporary housing support, and recovery efforts for flood victims in southern regions including Geoje and Tongyeong through the Community Chest of Korea's ongoing 2026 special fundraising campaign for rain damage. Both regions have faced difficulties in daily life as heavy rains caused consecutive floodings of homes and roads.
LIM YOUNGWOONG has consistently made donations during birthdays, holidays, and disasters since 2021. Including this donation, his cumulative donations delivered through the Community Chest of Korea total 2.5 billion won. When adding the 200 million won he directly delivered to Korea University Medical Center for the medical expenses of low-income and vulnerable patients on his birthday this year, his cumulative donations reach a total scale of 2.7 billion won.
Voluntary sharing by his fan club is also continuing. Following LIM YOUNGWOONG and Mulgogi Music's donation of 400 million won during the massive wildfires in the Yeongnam region last year, Hero Generation also separately donated 600 million won. In Geoje, one of the areas affected by the recent heavy rains, "Hero Generation Geoje" also participated in their own ways by delivering a donation to a local welfare foundation to commemorate the 10th anniversary of LIM YOUNGWOONG's debut, with fans nationwide participating in various ways.
LIM YOUNGWOONG's 10th debut anniversary on August 8 will be followed by performances and a new release, continuing his sharing. LIM YOUNGWOONG will hold his solo concert "IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2" at the Goyang Stadium main stadium in Gyeonggi Province from September 4 to 6. Following that, he will release the special digital album "IM HERO 10" on September 8.
